In this post we just going to discuss about the requirements of the GE6162-ENGINEERING PRACTICES lab i.e Engineering Practices Lab.

where GE6162-ENGINEERING PRACTICES lab is divided into Groups based on the Department.They are

i) Group A
ii)Group B

i) Group A

    In this group it is categorized by the department of Civil & Mechanical Engineering,i.e this group content are fully designed by this department based experiments.

ii)Group B

  In this group it is categorized by the department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering,i.e this group content are fully designed by this department based experiments.
where this lab categorized by two groups A & B.instead this group in this blogger going to give the details about the group B category only.
Let us see the GE6162 lab requirements.
again the group B is divided into 2 parts.they are

a)  ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PRACTICE                                                          

Residential house wiring using switches, fuse, indicator, lamp and energy meter  
        let us see this is the experiment which requires 
i)Switches - SPST -1,SPDT
ii) Fuse - Protective devices -10 amphs
iii)Indicator - 1 Nos
iv ) Lamp -Incandescent Lamp - 5 Nos
Iv)Energy Meter - 1 Nos

 Fluorescent lamp wiring
i)Fluorescent Lamp - 1 Nos.
ii)Ballast Circuit - 1 Nos.
iii)Starter - 1 Nos.
Iv)Multi core Wire as per required

 Stair case wiring
i)SPDT Switch - 2nos
ii) any Loads i.e is Lamp load - 1 Nos

circuit

b) ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING PRACTICE

Study of Electronic components and equipments – Resistor colour coding  measurement  of AC signal parameter (peak-peak, rms period, frequency) using CRO

Study of logic gates AND, OR, XOR and NOT

Generation of Clock Signal

Soldering practice  –  Components Devices and Circuits  –  Using general  purpose PCB
